I agree that this isn’t the first time that the Verge has posted controversial opinions, but to the degree that other white journalists at the Verge have been criticized for journalistic malpractice, their mentions on social media seem completely fine at the moment. Etienne however, is still getting regularly harassed after more than a year that the video was put out then quickly taken down. That’s the crux of my criticism, and it’s why I refuse to give in to the impulse of “white journalists have been harassed too,” however well-intentioned it may be.
