Substantively, I think you’re right on the money. Transmedicalists don’t *hate* non-binary people per-se, but their ideas certainly go against what many non-binary people consider to be a fairly rudimentary part of the NB/trans experience. To your point, that’s where the “ideological” dimension of the argument is located. In the specific case of Buck Angel, I think he’s mostly indifferent and doesn’t care to assert his views in public, whereas the other side will mobilize as necessary to make sure they win the ideological debate, no matter how stretched the chain of guilt is. That’s one of the key differences between Buck Angel and his detractors — one side is clearly more adamant about disproving the other, sometimes to a fault.
