That’s fair, but I think bringing up J Yaniv in discussions surrounding trans acceptance is a bit of a red herring. I already talked about Yaniv and her ilk and all they seem to do is perpetuate the idea that self-ID is used to invade female spaces, which it almost never is. I won’t doubt one bit that not all trans people are saints, but it’s unfair to treat them all on the basis of edge cases, rather than the core of the community, which seems supportive of the feminist cause as much as its cis counterpart.
